The course of true love never did run smooth…

Lysander loves Hermia, and Hermia loves Lysander.  Egeus doesn’t approve. Nor does Theseus. Helena loves Demetrius; Demetrius used to love her but now loves Hermia.

Lord, what fools these mortals be!

But things are just as bad in the fairy world...

Marital discord, bestiality, a custody battle, third-rate theatre, insubordinate servants – what is this? Shakespeare’s tale of disorder, love,
intrigue, magic, celebration and reconciliation is a perennial favourite which has enchanted audiences for four centuries and continues to hold them in its thrall…

If we shadows have offended,
Think but this, and all is mended,
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.

The Riverside Players have been performing Open Air Theatre since 1951 and this year will be visiting Beaumont Estate for just 6 performances.

Beaumont Estate
can be found in Old Windsor near Windsor and Egham.
The postcode for SatNav equipment is SL4 2JJ.

The theatre bar will be open from 7pm and during the interval.

There is plenty of car parking space and you are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds of Beaumont Estate prior to the performance.  Sorry - no dogs allowed.

Performances are in the open air theatre and summer nights can get cold – so please wear suitable clothing.

All seating is unreserved and has back rests.  The majority is also raked.
